Combat sports in Saintes: Impact Night returns with its “fight of the titans”

Combat sports in Saintes: Impact Night returns with its “fight of the titans”

The ninth edition of the martial arts gala will be held on Saturday, June 14, at the Grand Coudret, with a duel between a world champion, Figuereido Landman, and a European champion, Ilyass Chakir.

Organized by the Double Impact team from Saintes, 15 fights, including four international ones, will be featured at the 9th edition of the Nuit de l'Impact, Saturday, June 14, at the Grand Coudret. The main event will be an adrenaline-fueled Franco-Dutch confrontation in K1 Style 75 kg. A fight that should set fire to two boxers who participate in the biggest international kick-boxing promotion, Glory. On one side, Ilyass Chakir, European champion, explosive nugget from the USMT Pôle Contacts de Paris; on the other, Figuereido Landman, formidable world champion of the Nick Hemmers team (Breda).

"In this battle of the titans, a European champion will face off against a world champion, without a title at stake. But, just to stay in the game, because it's only through combat that we progress," specifies Brahim Hanafi, the organizer of this Impact Night.

France - Italy

Previously, the public will be able to attend a France - Italy duel. Passion versus experience, in K1 pro 75 kg, between the European champion Madické Kamara, of Muay Thaï Buchelay de Paris, with 100 fights to his credit, who in this clash of generations will meet Yassin Rezgui, of the Raini Clan, who began his career with 10 fights for 8 victories. Then, in a new France - Netherlands, in pro K1 61 kg, Elias Kanfouah, European champion in French boxing and kick-boxing, from the Cusset club, will line up against Haytam Bousmaki, of SB Gym (French champion and member of the French team), who chose to go into exile in the Netherlands to progress.

In the 65 kg pro low kick category, Yanis Saadane, 2024 ISK European champion from Full-contact Marmandais, will box Florian Connan from Sylver Kick-boxing in Nantes. In the 57.5 kg pro K1 category, Élodie Mabire from Khalis Gym in Bordeaux, who claimed the K1 world champion title in 2024, will face the Dutch champion, Rosa Rugenbrink, from Team Colosseum, known for her aggression. A fight to watch between a seasoned technician and a belligerent.

The last of "Boutbout"

The Maritimes team of Hanafi will line up juniors such as Kenzo Broudissou. A rising star who, for his second K1 63.5 kg full contact fight, will face Yanis Folz, from Khalis Gym Bordeaux. In Muay Thai 57 kg, Wajeed Hujati, boxer and coach of Team Saintais (2025 Nouvelle-Aquitaine League champion), will box Clément Vallet, from SAM Mérignac, whom he defeated in the final of the same League championship. A possible revenge for the latter or a confirmation for the Saintais…

In K1 pro 69 kg, Benjamin Boutet, known as "Boutbout," ISK European vice-champion, was knocked out last year on a false note. With fifteen years of experience and 60 fights under his belt, he returns to the ring to fight his final battle, the one that will seal his career. He will face the young Bilal Raihan, from the Parisian USMT Pôle Contact. Finally, Maxime Bond (French K1 champion in 2024 and vice-champion in 2025) will face Vincent Dourau in the semi-professional low kick 84 kg. Dourau comes from DT Kick-Boxing in Pau and returns for a rematch.
